Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe student’s problem solving ability in term of mathematical ability in PLSV material. The research method was qualitative research. The subject of this study was 20 of students in grade 7B SMPN 1 Turen that chosen using purposive sampling technique. The Data collection used tests and interviews. The instruments used are a matter of tests and guidelines of interviews. Data analysis is conducted through three stages: data reduction, display data, and verification. The research results show that students with high category abilities has a high mathematical ability to solve the problems by accomplishing all the problem solving ability indicators, students with medium category abilities has a medium mathematical ability to solve the problems but have not accomplished all the problem solving ability indicators yet, and students with low abilities has a low mathematical ability, therefore it has not be able to solve all the problems.

Abstract

This research was conducted to review the mathematical elements contained in the cultural heritage building of the Watu Gudig Site (ethnomathematics). This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods with an ethnographic approach. To obtain accurate data, it is done by observing, interviewing and researching archives. Observations were made to determine the mathematical elements contained in the Watu Gudig Site. Interviews were conducted to obtain cultural aspects of the Watu Gudig Site. Archival research was carried out by triangulation technique, which means analyzing data from different sources to support the data that has been obtained from observations and interviews. The results of this research are found the concept of plane geometry in the cultural heritage building of Watu Gudig Site. The geometric concepts contained in this building are in the form of a square, trapezoid, rectangle, and block.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a positive and significant correlation between perceptions of mathematics, independent learning, and parents' attention to mathematics learning achievement class X students of SMAN 1 Parittiga. The research method used is ex post facto. The population of this research is all students of class X at SMAN 1 Parittiga, with 35 students taken by cluster random sampling. The data was collected by questionnaire and test. The instrument used fulfills the validity and reliability test. Analysis prerequisite tests include normality, linearity, and multicollinearity. Hypothesis testing using multiple linear regression test and partial correlation test. The results showed that the tendency of high mathematics perception, very high independent learning, high parental attention and high mathematics learning achievement. The multiple correlation coefficient (R) is 0.867 with sig = 0.000 <0.05, and you get SE (X1) = 6.9%, SE (X2) = 61.2%, and SE (X3) = 7.2%.

Abstract

The research aims to describe students' mathematical misconceptions on cube and block based on the misconception indicators according to Sriati (in Ramadhan, 2017). This research uses qualitative research methods with descriptive research. The research subjects were 35 students of ninth grade at SMPN 2 Teluk Jambe Barat with data collection techniques is observations and tests. The results of the study, it was found that there were still many students with mathematical misconceptions on cube and block, both translation misconceptions, concept misconceptions, strategy misconceptions, systematic misconceptions, sign misconceptions. Based on the categorization formulated by Arikunto (2009), there were 29 students in medium category and 6 students in low category and no students in high category. The result of percentag subject.s mathematical misconceptions is 52.38% for translation misconceptions, 86.75% for concept misconceptions, 91.06% for strategy misconceptions, 68.92% for systematic misconceptions, and 88.90% for sign misconceptions.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a flipped classroom based mathematics learning tool for building flat-side space in junior hidg schools. This study uses the research abd development method with a 4D model that is modified into 3D due to the covid-19 pandemic, so it pnly contains the define, design, and develop proceses. The results showed that the average validation result by expert validators for RPP was 4,4 (very valid) and the average validation result by stakeholders was 4,65 (very valid). The average result of validation by expert validation for LKPD is 4,49 (very valid) and the average result of validation by stakeholder is 4,74 (very valid). So that the result of the evaluation of the lesson plan by the experts and stakeholders obtained a mean score of 4,53, while the overall mean of the evaluation result of the LKPD by the expert validator and stajeholder obtained a mean score of 4,6. This shows that the flipped classroom based mathematics learning device in junior high school is suitbale for uses as a reference for learning mathematics subjects.

Abstract

This research is a quasi-experimental researchwhich aims to determine whether online learning based on WhatsApp Group with LKPD assistance is more effective than online learning based on WhatsApp Group without assistance from LKPD in terms of student learning motivation towards mathematics learning outcomes of grade VII students at SMP N 4 Sewon . The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling selected classes VII A and B. The data collection technique used a test technique in the form of a posttest, documentation for thescore pretest and a non-test technique in the form of a learning motivation questionnaire. Data were analyzed using t-test, test preconditions such normality test, mann-whitney, andtest. Kruskal WallisThe result of this research is that learning using online learning based on WhatsApp Group with the assistance of LKPD is as effective as online learning based on WhatsApp Group without assistance from LKPD and the mathematics learning outcomes of students with high motivation are better than students who have moderate and low motivation.
